AR Steel

Built to outlast the wear

When your equipment fights abrasion every shift, grade selection is everything. We stock AR200 through AR500 — 170 to 534 BHN — so you can match hardness to the wear you’re actually seeing. Lower grades form easily. Higher grades take the punishment. Our metallurgists help you decide which is which.

High Strength Steels

More strength. Less weight.

Every pound you take out of the structure is a pound you can put into the payload. High strength steels let you design thinner and lighter without giving up strength — 30 to 80 ksi yield, with Grade 100 and YMPRESS 100 available when you need to push further. We’ll help you find the gauge that works.

SWQT

Quenched and tempered — straight from coil

Moving quenched and tempered plate from discrete production to coil changed what’s possible: tighter dimensional control and shorter lead times, without compromising the strength. SW700QT to SW960QT delivers 100 to 140 ksi minimum yield in 3/16″ to 1″ thickness, plus SWARQT when you need abrasion resistance in the same package.
